As of July 2004, the City of Corona charges a per patient, per call fee for Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This fee applies to residents and non-residents alike, and the amount of the fee is $400.00. As a Corona resident or business you have an alternative to these per call fees. Below you will find information regarding your options to participate in the EMS Subscription Program either for your business or your home.

Residential EMS Subscription Information

Residents may subscribe their household for an annual enrollment of $60.00. The Subscription program covers you and all permanent members of your household, no matter how many times you may need the Fire Department for EMS during the subscription year. Your subscription also covers you and your household members no matter where you are within the City of Corona.

Important: The Corona EMS Subscription Program fee does NOT cover ambulance cost. These fees are billed separately by the ambulance company.

Subscription year is from July 1 through June 30 and coverage is not prorated.

For residential water utility customers you may subscribe by contacting the number below and request to be billed on your Water Utility bill at the rate of $5.00 per month.

Business EMS Subscription Information

As a Corona business, you have an alternative to per call fees for your employees. While the employee will be billed for service and not the employer, you may subscribe as a business for your employees, thus adding a valuable benefit. A business with 20 employees or less may subscribe to the EMS Subscription Program at the rate of $60.00 for every 5 employees (unit), or portion thereof. A business with more than 20 employees shall be equal to one (unit) for each 10 employees or fraction thereof and a business with more than 75 employees will pay a maximum of 15 units. For example, if you have 5 employees, your subscription fee is one unit, or $60.00. This annual fee provides Emergency Medical Services to you and your employees anywhere in the City of Corona while conducting the employer's business at no additional cost to the service user during the subscription year. Additionally, being a business subscriber, you will not need to file the additional $400.00 service fee to your Workers Compensation Insurance carrier.
