The offices of Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes and Autumn Burke invite you to attend an informational hearing of the Assembly Select Committee on Career Technical Education and Building a 21st Century Workforce: Pathways to Employment: Identifying the Nexus between Education, Career Readiness, and Workforce Development.
Studies show that California will face a shortage of skilled workers by 2025, leaving an estimated 1 million jobs vacant. The Committee seeks to bridge the gap between employers and our workforce to build pathways within our state’s evolving economy. This hearing will provide insight from our business, education, and economic development communities on the work being done to address this pertinent issue. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the conclusion of the hearing.
