The following documents have been prepared to assist the public and staff with implementing the Commercial Cannabis Permit (CCP) program.
Map of Cannabis Zones
Commercial cannabis businesses granted a Commercial Cannabis Permit (CCP) by the City are permitted to operate within the City’s M-1, M-2, M-3 and M-4 zones, and within specific plan areas that refer back to Corona Municipal Code Chapter 17.44.
The following maps illustrate the locations zoned for commercial cannabis businesses, per City Council approval or directive (Specific Plan areas pending formal approval):

Maps Showing Separation Requirements
The City has been working to complete a map depicts the required setbacks from sensitive land uses, as required by Corona Municipal Code Section 5.36.070 (reference Ordinance 3321).
The Potential Cannabis Properties maps provided below are a courtesy, intended for an applicant’s initial consideration. The maps are a “high level” assessment that reflects a single point of time, based on readily available public information. Information provided on the maps shall not be binding on city’s future determination of zoning and separation compliance.
The maps depict potential Youth Centers. The following is the definition of a “Youth Center”:
“…any public or private facility that is primarily used to host recreational or social activities for minors, including, but not limited to, private youth membership organizations or clubs, social service teenage club facilities, video arcades, or similar amusement park facilities.”
The City’s research of existing Youth Centers is “high-level” and has the potential to be inaccurate. It is possible that the City has not identified all Youth Centers in the city; or a facility identified does not qualify as a Youth Center. Be aware of the following when reviewing the “Potential Cannabis Properties” maps:
- There may be youth facilities that do not have strong advertising, or are newly established, such that they were not identified during the citywide research.
- The City does not have private data for businesses, and therefore makes assumptions regarding primary users and on-site activities. Much of the City’s assumptions were made using publicly available information on the internet.
- COVID-19 has significantly impacted Youth Centers, which are places of assembly. Many private Youth Centers may go out of business due to stay-at-home orders. The inventory does not consider economic viability and the impacts of COVID; therefore, an identified Youth Center may be out of business at the time the city evaluates a cannabis application.
- The City’s inventory is a single point in time. A Youth Center may not be on the map because it established after the city conducted its inventory, and before a CCP application is evaluated.
All commercial cannabis businesses are responsible for evaluating a proposed location(s) for separation conformance prior to submitting a CCP application. Do not rely on these maps to determine compliance with separation requirements:
