The City of Corona and the Orange County Conservation Corps are hosting a waste tire collection and Shred-It Service event. Residents are welcomed and encouraged to stop by and recycle their waste tires and documents for shredding.
The community shed event is meant to shred paper only. The paper can be stapled or have binder clips, the shredder is strong enough to tear through that material. Shed-it will not collect media, plastic, books, or cardboard.
The event will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 8 a.m. to noon at Corona City Hall, located at 400 S Vicentia Avenue, Corona. Please enter off of the S Buena Vista entrance.
Paper Shredding Requirements:
- City of Corona residents only- please bring your ID
- Paper only
- Staples and binder clips are okay as they can be shredded
- No media, plastic, books, or cardboard
Tire Recycling Requirements:
- City of Corona residents only- please bring your ID
- Passenger and light truck tires only
- Tires on rims will not be accepted
- No commercial dealers; no tires from businesses
- Up to 9 tires will be accepted per car, per trip*
*It is illegal to haul more than 9 waste tires without being registered as a tire hauler by the state.
