LifeStream has received reports of a national blood shortage. Blood supplies across the country are at dangerously low levels following a severe decline in blood donations, partially because of the extreme heat. During the summer months, when people and families tend to vacation more frequently, it is imperative to have a healthy supply of blood. Your donation can help treat burns, help cancer patients, and trauma or car accident victims. To ensure an adequate blood supply is always available, please take some time to donate blood.
The City of Corona, in conjunction with LifeStream, will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments are also available.
To help encourage the community to donate blood, Lifestream will be giving all donors a two-ticket Fandango voucher to enjoy a movie!
Lifesaving donors will also be eligible to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when you mention “Win a Harley” to Lifestream personnel at the drive. Please provide the official donor group code, MHDE. In addition, donors receive a free cholesterol screening and points that may be redeemed for items through LifeStream’s online donor store at www.LStream.org.
Please be sure to drink plenty of fluids and bring photo identification with proof of age. Donors under the age of 18 must bring a signed LifeStream parental consent form.
On behalf of families everywhere, thank you for considering donating!
