The City of Corona invites the community to remember 9/11 with a moment of silence that will be held tomorrow between 8:00 to 8:15 a.m. at Fire Station #1, located at 540 Magnolia Avenue.
This year will be the solemn 17th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. On a clear Tuesday morning, four airplanes were hijacked to carry out suicidal attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people were killed.
Join us in a moment of silence to remember and honor the thousands of innocent men, women, and children killed in the tragic attack.
