The Corona-Norco United Way invites the community to its 60th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 15, 2018 starting at 5 p.m. at the Corona Civic Center, 815 W. 6th Street. Enjoy snacks and drinks, music, and a special presentation followed by a tour.
The Corona-Norco United Way is a non-profit organization established on September 5th, 1958. During the past 60 years, the Corona-Norco United Way has been a provider of funding to more than 20 non-profit organizations in our community. The Corona-Norco United Way has donated more than 5 million dollars to programs and services. The funding donated to the non-profit organizations has helped thousands of individuals and families stay in their homes, provide assistant with food, shelter, rental, utilities, and many other basic needs. Recently, the Corona-Norco United Way experienced a transformation and became a provider of critically needed services within our community. Corona-Norco United Way is the only service provider for families impacted by domestic violence in western Riverside County. The Corona-Norco United Way created Path to Success program that encourages and works with individuals to successfully complete their high school diploma and on continue through with their formal education. The program also provides tutoring to low-to-moderate income children struggling with their homework. All these programs are provided in collaborations and partnerships with the Corona Police Department, City of Corona, Corona-Norco Unified School District, Corona-Norco Settlement House, the Parents Center and many other partners.
