The City of Corona’s Animal Services and Enforcement Division invites the community to the grand opening celebration of two Play and Bark Yards on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Corona Animal Shelter, located at 1330 Magnolia Avenue.
Join the celebration, meet and interact with adoptable dogs, and adopt for only $20, which includes the cost of spay and neuter. Normal dog licensing and microchip fees will apply.
The Play Yards will allow dogs to socialize with each other and run free in an open space. It will enable them to gain social skills, burn off energy, and reduce stress thereby helping them become more relaxed when meeting families hoping to adopt.
“Playgroups are also effective for meet and greets,” says Daniel Pacheco, Animal Control Supervisor. “They provide an opportunity for a new potential family to spend time with the dog in a spacious area.”
The Play Yard capital project would not be possible without the generous support of the Corona Police Community Partnership (CPCP), Corona Rotary, McKinley Walmart #1912, Robertson’s Ready Mix, Safe Pro Turf, Valley Cities Fence, Uber Realty Group, Citrus Hills Intermediate School Associated Student Body (ASB), Nuvis Landscape Architecture, BMLA Landscape Architecture, and the City of Corona.
Ongoing donations are welcome. Donations can be sent to the Corona Police Community Partnership at 730 Public Safety Way, Corona, CA 92880. CPCP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; Federal Tax ID #330614431.
The Corona Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, please visit www.CoronaCA.gov/Animals or contact the Corona Animal Shelter at 951-736-2309.
