The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) will be hosting a Basic Recordkeeping Workshop.
What records should you keep, how detailed, and for how long? What needs to be reflected on your receipts? Learn how to verify a seller’s permit and use resale certificates for your protection. Determine proper documentation in foreign and interstate commerce, as well as other common exemptions and deductions. Also, receive instruction on use tax obligations, finding district tax rates, and using the formula for tax-included sales. You’ll discover how good recordkeeping will reduce your fear of audit and improve your business operation.
