Officially a month-long celebration in October, Corona Public Library will be offering two weeks of special events from September 26 thru October 10.
From the youngest Padawans to the wisest Jedi Masters, there will be new and fun ways for everyone to explore a galaxy far, far away while celebrating literacy, imagination, and the art of storytelling!
SCENE REENACTMENT CONTEST (All ages)
Captivate us! Show us your acting skills or get creative with puppets. Design practical or digital effects. The sky’s the limit!
Guidelines & Judging:
· Videos can be a maximum of 3 minutes long.
· In your submission email, include the name of the movie and scene along with the names of those in your production.
· Submissions may be shared across various City of Corona media outlets.
· Group judging by the Teen Advisory Council will be based on originality, creativity, and how well you captivate us.
· As the inaugural contest, this year’s submissions will help shape future categories and judging criteria.
Staff have created take-home supply kits with several crafts and hands on activities, coloring pages, mad libs, and more! Kits will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Head to the Library’s Click, Park, and Pick-Up area daily between 11am and 3pm (excluding Sundays).

STORYTIMES (All ages)
Special all ages Character Storytimes are in the works, slated to drop on our Youtube and social media platforms on Tuesday, September 29 and Tuesday, October 6. Additionally, our Early Literacy Storytimes on September 30 and October 1 will include staff’s favorite Star Wars titles with fun play activities and a craft.
