You are invited to attend a virtual public workshop to help plan for sustainable groundwater management in the Temescal Basin. The Temescal Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Temescal GSA) is preparing a groundwater sustainability plan (GSP) for the Temescal Basin. GSPs are detailed road maps for how groundwater basins will achieve long term sustainability.
Whether you own your own well, use water from the tap, irrigate your crops, or pump groundwater for your business, everyone can participate in making this plan a success!
At this second public workshop, you will learn background information about the Temescal Basin. There will be presentations on the hydrogeologic conceptual model, groundwater conditions, and the water budget, including how this information prepares us for defining sustainability in the Temescal Basin.
The Temescal GSA would like to hear what you think the most important uses of groundwater from the Temescal Basin are and if you know of any current or historical problems regarding the use of groundwater in the Temescal Basin.
Tuesday, March 02, 2021 from 4-6 p.m.
