Remember the Holocaust – Kristallnacht Commemoration at the Corona Public Library

The City of Corona, together with Congregation Beth Shalom, is hosting a special presentation to commemorate Kristallnacht with Holocaust survivor, Faigla Fischel Moncznik. Corona will be hosting the annual Kristallnacht (Night of the Broken Glass) Commemoration Program on Thursday, November 10 at the Corona Public Library (650 S. Main Street, Corona, CA 92882).

Faigla Fischel Moncznik is from Poland. Faigla will share her story through the assistance of her daughter Penny Lindenbaum, as Faigla does not speak English. Penny will also share her story on how it was growing up as a child of two Holocaust survivors.

This is a free program and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the program begins at 7 PM. Light refreshments will be served.

Now, more than ever, it is important that we continue sharing the stories of survivors, so that we can educate future generations of the Holocaust.

About Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht, also known as the Night of the Broken Glass, refers to a devastating wave of violent anti-Jewish activities. Nazis in Germany torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools, and businesses, and killed close to 100 Jews. In the aftermath of Kristallnacht, some 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps.
