On the Go brings the magic of Community Services right to your neighborhood! Each week we provide opportunities for families to join us at various locations for hands-on activities.  We look forward to meeting you the next time we're out and about!

National Anthem Auditions

 National Anthem

The City of Corona is searching for talented residents to perform the National Anthem at our upcoming summer Special Events including the Fourth of July Independence Day Celebration and Summer Street Fair (4 Nights). Soloists, small groups, and instrumentalists are invited to audition for this prestigious honor.

Applications are due by Thursday, May 9, 2024.

 

Selected residents will be invited to audition, in-person, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the following groupings:

Ages 5-12- 4:00-5:00 PM

Ages 3-17- 5:00-6:00 PM

Adults (18+)- 6:00-7:00 PM

  

Audition Rules:

  1. Entrances must be able to perform the National Anthem Acapella or as an acoustic Instrumental.
  2. Entrants may audition as a solo or a small group.
  3. Entrants must live in the incorporated area of the City of Corona.
  4. Entries must be submitted by May 10, 2024.
  5. All entrants must audition, in-person, on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
  6. Auditioning entrants must be prepared to perform several bars of the National Anthem and/or a second patriotic song of their choosing. Due to time constraints, the entirety of the performance may be limited to just a few bars.
  7. Selected performers will be notified by City staff by Thursday, May 24, 2024.
  8. Selected performers will be invited to perform at one of the following events:
  9. 7/4 Independence Day Fourth of July Celebration – Parade or Festival
    7/11 - Summer Street Fair Night 1 – Concert Stage
    7/18 - Summer Street Fair Night 2 – Concert Stage
    7/25 - Summer Street Fair Night 3 – Concert Stage
    8/1 Summer Street Fair Night 4 – Concert Stage
  10. Entrants may receive invitations to other City events as needed.
