From ground squirrels to the California quail, you will learn about some of our critters native to the Cleveland National Forest. Please bring any questions you may have about our neighbors with scales, fur and feathers! Anything from their habitat or what they might be eating for dinner. There is no guarantee of wild animal sightings.  

This hike will be about 3 miles in length and mainly flat with some elevation gain. Please note that inclement weather might postpone/cancel our hike and wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Park Rangers will provide guidance if any hazardous conditions are encountered, and please note that slippery conditions may exist.  

Young hikers (5+) are welcome to participate with their parents. The pace of the hike will be determined by the participants, please plan to be out on the trails with us for at least two hours. Due to the group environment, please leave your furry friends at home.

Participation in the hikes will require all hikers to complete a Waiver of Liability. Any participants under the age of 18 will need a parent to sign their waiver of liability. An email confirmation will be sent out to registered hikers on Wednesday, November 6th.
