The following websites offer online games and activities for preschoolers and primary grade students with emphasis on learning to read.

	Starfall is a free website which offers games, interactive activities, and printable resources for children learning to read with phonics.
	Leading to Reading is produced by Reading is Fundamental and offers online games and interactive activities that encourage reading.  This site is available in English or Spanish.
	Literactive is an online reading program which takes early learners on a journey of exploration and discovery.  All the material is free but registration is required. ESL activities are included.
	Play and learn with your child online! These online games and learning activities are a great way to spend quality time together.

All Kids Network - Free worksheets and craft activities for kids and their caregivers 

Arcademics - Free educational games for K-8 grades and their families.

Chess Kid - Kids can learn and play chess for free.

Cosmic Kids Yoga - To help with panic and anxiety try this YouTube channel which is “yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed especially for kids aged 3+, used in schools and homes all over the world.”

Education.com: Educational games filtered by subject and learning goals including alphabet knowledge, vocabulary, spelling, reading comprehension, addition, measurement, time, etc. Free access to games after signing up.

First 5 California - Free resources and early literacy tips for families with little ones.

Go Noodle - Movement and mindfulness videos created by child development experts. 

International Children’s Digital Library - ICDL is a nonprofit organization that provides access to the best children’s books of their culture, and cultures around the world regardless of where they live. There are over 4,000 titles in 59 languages to choose from, that you can read to your children.

KidLit Tv - The KLTV team has created a virtual library of FREE read-alouds, podcasts, crafts & homeschooling drawing & writing resources for kids. 

Librarian Recommended Apps and Games– With schools closing across the country to slow the spread of COVID-19, parents and caregivers are in a challenging position: keeping kids engaged and entertained at home, often while working remotely at the same time. The Association of Library Service to Children’s Notable Children's Digital Media (NCDM) List is a great source for finding librarian-approved digital content for kids 14 and younger.

PBS Kids -  Free games available that help children with reading, math, science, and music. Spanish games are also available along with printable worksheets, crafts, and topics of discussion categorized by learning milestones.

Positive Psychology - Mindfulness - 18 mindfulness games, worksheets, and activities for kids designed by Positive Psychology’s team of practitioners.  

StoryBlocks - Storyblocks is a collection of 30-60 second videos designed to model to parents, caregivers, and library staff some songs, rhymes, and fingerplays appropriate for early childhood. Includes 9 languages.

Toy Theater - Toy Theater is a collection of interactive educational games for your elementary classroom. They are all free and designed to work on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
