A. In a recent independent community survey the City received responses from hundreds of residents. Quality of life priorities identified by residents to date include:

• Reducing traffic impacts
• Maintaining local police protection / 911 emergency response
• Maintaining local fire protection/paramedic services
• Maintaining clean, safe drinking water
• Effectively addressing homelessness 

A. Nearly three-quarters of calls to the Corona Fire Department are related to medical emergencies. But with reductions in the number of fire trucks, there are neighborhoods in Corona where the response times are longer than the approved national standards for safety.  We need to work together to put firefighters back into our neighborhoods, keep fire stations open and ensure   that our first responders can quickly respond to ANYONE in a life-saving emergency, irrespective of the neighborhood where they live.

A. In the last five years alone, the State has taken tens of millions of dollars from the City’s budget. Sacramento politicians continue to shift responsibility for many services without giving us ANY funding to provide the critical services we need. In these uncertain times, we need to keep our taxpayer dollars local to fund the services residents rely on. 

A. We all live in Corona because it offers a better quality of life and better services than nearby communities. We must ensure Corona can maintain public safety and 911 emergency response services, reduce traffic and homelessness, and provide other services and programs that make Corona a wonderful place to live, visit and do business.

For the past year, the City has been soliciting input about maintaining our fiscal stability, and we’ve received input from nearly 1,000 residents already. We want to continue the conversation by focusing on YOUR priorities for maintaining our quality of life. We want to hear from as many residents as possible.
