The Billing Transition from City of Corona to Waste Management for waste collection services (effective July 2024)
As of July 2024, The City of Corona will no longer handle billing for residential waste collection services. Residents should expect to only see water and sewer charges on their monthly utility bill as of July 2024. Waste Management will separately bill for residential waste collection services.
During the billing transition from City of Corona to Waste Management, any pre-paid fees collected when the account was established would have been applied to June’s 2024 waste collection services charges, and any remaining balances not covered by that credit would have been included within your July 2024 or August 2024 utility bill.
The City of Corona will no longer have access to waste collection service charges. You must contact WM directly for any questions or service requests by contacting the WM Customer Care Center at 1-800-423-9986.
Waste Management Billing
In the month of July 2024, residents should have received their first Waste Management waste collection service charges. From this point forward, you can expect to receive a bill for trash, recycling, and organic collection services at the start of each month. Please note that for existing accounts, you can pay your bill online, set paperless billing, or enable autopay by signing up online at www.wm.com/myaccount or over the phone. Additionally, there are multiple in person payment locations. If you need to set up an account for waste collection services, please contact WM Customer Care Center at 1-800-423-9986.
Waste Management In-Person Payment Locations
While residents can choose to pay online, set paperless billing, enable autopay, or pay over the phone, there is also the option to pay in person at select locations. Depending on the location, residents may pay cash or with a debit card. Residents should have their WM invoice with them to provide their Customer ID to ensure timely posting of their payment to the correct account.
