The Corona Police Department has designed The Guardian Program as a proactive approach to continue providing excellence in policing to our community.

The Guardian Program allows members of our community to complete an assessment that is kept internally to assist officers in responding to calls for service that may include someone who has mental, physical, medical, or emotional injuries. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Bipolar
  • Alzheimer
  • Autism
  • Wandering
  • Special Needs
  • Deaf-Blind
  • Non-Verbal Communication
  • Triggers

Dispatchers and Officers will have access to the assessment information that includes photographs, calming strategies/trigger avoidance, and possible destinations.
