    November is National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM). NDAM encompasses all forms of diabetes but the main types are Type 1 and Type 2. Since Type 2 Diabetes affects 95 percent of the diabetic population, Type 1 Diabetes does not get the awareness it needs.
