CORONA, CA– On January 15, 2025, the Corona Police Department will be launching a new program designed to keep residents, businesses, and visitors updated on their emergency, and non-emergency, calls for police service.

Versaterm Community Connect is an automated system that will provide callers with information and updates after they request police assistance. Reporting callers should expect to receive a text message or email acknowledging the call for service. If the officer is delayed, an automated message will be sent informing the caller of the delay.

Delays in response can occur for a variety of reasons, including when a higher priority call for service is received, and the officer is diverted or if the city’s overall incoming call volume is such that officers are unavailable.

Updates will not be sent about in-progress crimes or situations where a text message may pose a safety risk for those involved.

Community Connect may also provide notifications on the status of a case, including whether an arrest was made or if the case was otherwise closed.
