Q. Does the Senior Center loan medical equipment?
A. No, we do not loan medical equipment.
Q. Does the Senior Center provide lunch?
A. No. However, coffee and donated pastries are provided when available. The Center does sell affordable snacks and refreshments. If you choose to bring your lunch, a microwave is available for your convenience.
Q. How do I become a member of the Senior Center?
A. You must be 50 years of age or older to be a member of the Corona Senior Center. There are no membership fees, but there are small fees for certain activities/event. Present your completed Membership Registration Form, along with a valid form of identification, to Senior Center Staff to sign-up.
Q. I am interested in providing a presentation at the Senior Center. Who do I contact?
A. If you have an educational or beneficial topic you would like to present to our patrons, you must fill-out a Presentation Proposal. A Presentation Proposal explains the guidelines to hosting a presentation/event as well as an application. This application will set forth your presentation goals. Once received and approved by City Staff, presenters are contacted to make arrangements.
Q. I'd like to volunteer at the Senior Center. What is the process to apply and how can I help?
A. We love our volunteers at the Senior Center. We have a variety of positions available from teaching classes to leading a class and helping at the Front Desk. Volunteers need to complete a volunteer application form and successfully pass a background screening to be a volunteer. Court referrals and legal or school mandate disciplinary reasons can not apply.
