Corona Welcomes New Mayor and City Council Members
On Monday, December 10, 2018, the City of Corona certified the November 2018 General Municipal Election and chose a new Mayor and Vice Mayor to represent the City. The total number of votes cast in the City of Corona was 31,068 which included polling location ballots and vote by mail ballots.

On July 27, 2018 at about 2:36 p.m. the Corona Police Department was dispatched to the area of Cajalco Road and Interstate 15 in Corona regarding an infant found deceased. With the generosity of several organizations, funds have been raised to provide a burial service for “Baby Jane Doe.”

Yolanda Carrillo Named To Fill City Council Vacancy
At a special meeting on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, the Corona City Council voted unanimously to approve the appointment of Yolanda Carrillo to the Corona City Council to fill the vacancy left by Dick Haley who resigned on October 4, 2018 due to health concerns.

The City of Corona is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Young as the City’s new Fire Chief, effective August 10, 2018. Chief Young joins Corona with twenty-eight (28) years of fire service with the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA).
