California Voter Registration Applications are available at the Office of the City Clerk at Corona City Hall (400 S. Vicentia Avenue). City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Registration forms are also available at the Public Library, all post offices, and the Department of Motor Vehicles. In addition, the Secretary of State’s Office now offers on-line voter registration request forms at the California Online Voter Registration website. 

Who May Register

To be entitled to register to vote, a person must be:

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A resident of California
  • Not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of the election

When to Register

You can register any time. However, to vote in an election you must be registered at least 15 days before the election. You must re-register if any of the following is true

  • You have changed your residence or mailing address
  • You have changed your name
  • You wish to change your political party affiliation.

Citizen Participation

The Registrar of Voters needs public-spirited citizens to serve as Precinct Officers. Polling places are also needed, especially those accessible to the handicapped.
