The Records Section is a vital function of the Corona Police Department in providing service to the community at the Records Front Counter and by telephone. In addition to assisting the public, Police Records Technicians are responsible for the storage, maintenance, and retrieval of all crime reports, traffic accident reports, vehicle reports and arrest reports.

The Records Section is open Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We encourage the public to call our department at 951-736-2330 option 1 before visiting, if possible, in order to double check and confirm all necessary materials needed for a particular service, and to make sure the proper personnel is available to process the service you are requesting. Some services may be limited to certain days/hours of the week, and/or available by appointment only.

Please note: Visa and Mastercard are the only credit cards accepted.


Sex and Arson Registration

Registrants must call 951-736-2290 or email 290Reg@CoronaCA.gov to schedule an appointment.

Vehicle Release

Individuals seeking release of vehicles must call the Records Department at 951-736-2330 to schedule an appointment.    


Front Counter information and services include:

Crime/Traffic/Incident Reports

Copies of approved releasable crime / traffic / incident reports are available for 25 cents per page
Traffic Accident Reports can also be obtained online at https://ecrash.lexisnexis.com.

Traffic Citation Sign-Off:

$44 – For non-Corona PD issued citations

No charge - For Corona PD issued citations

Vehicle Storage/Impound Release Fee:

Please contact the Records Section at 951-736-2330 option 1 to inquire as to what documentation is required to obtain a vehicle release.

$218 – Arrest, expired registration, abandoned, traffic hazard, etc.
No charge – For victims of stolen vehicle

Local Criminal History Records Check:

$23 – Verification/Clearance Letter If you would like to obtain a copy of your California criminal history, please contact the Department of Justice at 916-227-3849.

Release of Property:

Please call 951-736-2393, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to schedule appointment. 

Bicycle Licenses:

Can be purchased from the National Bike Registry online at www.nationalbikeregistry.com.

Subpoenas – Civil Actions:

Subpoenas for records should be served to the Custodian of Records. The exact amount due will be determined prior to the reproduction of documents. However, please include a check (minimum amount $15) to the subpoena upon delivery.

Subpoenas for police department personnel appearances should be served to the Corona Police Department located at 730 Public Safety Way, Corona, CA 92880. A deposit of $275 per sworn officer/non-sworn personnel, must be included with the appearance subpoena. Civil subpoenas require 15 days between date of service and actual appearance date.
