The City of Corona is excited to announce a Small Business Grants program!

The City of Corona is excited to announce a Small Business Grants program to strengthen the resilience and growth of Corona-based, small businesses. Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and offered in response to COVID-19 impacts, the program is administered by Charitable Ventures, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Small businesses are encouraged to act fast. Grants are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Grant Details: Tailored Support for Small Businesses

The Small Business Grants program offers two distinct grant options.

$5,000 Entrepreneur Grant: Geared towards commercial and home-based operations with four or fewer employees.

$10,000 Small Business Grant: Tailored for commercial operations employing five to twenty-five employees.

Application Period and How to Apply

Eligibility Criteria: Setting the Stage for Success

Businesses must meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify:

Physical Location: The business must be physically located within the City of Corona limits.
Profitable Operations: The applicant must be a for-profit business entity.
Established Presence: The business must have been in operation as of January 1, 2022.
Compliance: Applicants must be up-to-date on all required licenses and permits.
COVID-19 Impact: Businesses should be able to demonstrate a tangible impact from the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
Awards based on eligible, reimbursable expenses: Expenses such as employee payroll, commercial rent/mortgage, inventory, utilities, etc.
