Building (Plan Check and Inspection)

The mission of the Building Division is to provide quality services to the community in a manner that is comprehensive, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful to the public. The Building Division promotes and ensures that all new development in Corona is constructed in accordance with the highest standards of safety and that all existing structures are maintained in a safe condition.

Our goal is to help our customers get plan approval by or on third plan check review.

Our commitment is to:

• Complete plan reviews within the department’s turnaround time.
• Be customer service and solution oriented.
• Accurately enforce the code with integrity and consistency.
• Perform inspection requests with one day notice.

Building Inspections

• The department provides pre-construction meetings for new construction to help customers prepare for field inspections.  Please call 951-736-2250 or email BuildingInspection@CoronaCA.gov to schedule a meeting. Click here to learn more about pre-construction meetings.
• Remote virtual inspections are now available! Click here to learn more about the types of inspections offered virtually.
• Inspections can be scheduled online for inspections Monday through Thursday.
• If an inspection is needed on Friday due to an unusual situation or hardship, please call (951) 736-2250 no later than Wednesday by 5:00 p.m.
