The Mission of the Public Works Department is to successfully develop, manage, and maximize the City’s infrastructure investment to enhance the quality of life today while striving to develop and implement innovative solutions for tomorrow.
The Department consists of Five Divisions:
The services include land development, street and median maintenance, traffic signals, capital project engineering, signing and stripping, drainage, stormwater, and bridges. So, when you drive down the street, walk on a sidewalk, or ride your bicycle in a bike lane, you're enjoying the services the Public Works Department provides.
Administrative Division: Overall operation of the department, administering and overseeing.
Capital Improvement Plan (CIP): Responsible for overseeing the City’s infrastructure programs, from new projects to major rehabilitation projects to continuing efforts, such as pavement management.
Environmental Services: Responsible for ensuring City compliance with environmental regulations as it relates to stormwater, air quality, hazardous materials, and underground storage tanks.
Fleet Services: Performs maintenance and repairs on all City vehicles and equipment.
Street Maintenance: Maintains the City’s streets, Street Lights, roadway signs, and sidewalks.
Traffic Engineering: Operates and maintains all traffic signals, vehicular traffic movement, roadway signs, roadway striping, and curb painting.
Public Transit: The City of Corona Public Transit Division works to provide a wide array of Transportation options for our community.
