Economic Strategic Planning Efforts

The City of Corona recently underwent two concurrent efforts to help guide Corona’s economic future.

Economic Development Strategic Plan

The Economic Development Strategic Plan guides the City’s business attraction, development, retention, expansion, and resiliency efforts and further address the community’s desire to build a strong local economy.

Since this effort kicked off in 2021, the City's Office of Economic Development has worked with business owners, commercial brokers and property managers, and the residents of Corona to inform and develop a plan to build up Corona's local economy.

On August 17, the City Council approved and adopted the City's Economic Development Strategic Plan. City staff is working on initial implementation of the Economic Development Strategic Plan and will provide regular updates to the City Council and community on progress made towards each of the six goals.

Downtown Revitalization Plan

The Downtown Revitalization Plan creates a blueprint and cohesive vision for a prosperous and diverse Downtown District.  The Downtown Revitalization Plan serves as a supporting document to the recently approved Citywide Strategic Plan and further address specific goals identified including investing in redevelopment of the downtown to create a thriving destination for residents and visitors.
