Community Profile
A long way from our roots as the “Lemon Capital of the World” in 1886, Corona has grown into a vibrant city, bustling with industry, manufacturing, retail and community-minded residents. Although the city now boasts a population of about 168,000, the residents of Corona still see their piece of the world as having a small town feel; where people know each other, friends do business with friends and you meet your neighbor at the corner café for a cup of coffee.
Education
Corona is proud to have two top-notch school districts: Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) and Alvord Unified School District. Corona has 38 colleges and universities within 90 miles, including California Baptist University, California State Polytechnic University Pomona, California State University Fullerton, Chapman University, La Sierra University and University of California Riverside.
The Corona Public Library and the Fender Museum of Music and the Arts, as well as Christian Arts and Theater (CAT) provide cultural and educational programming.

Corona enjoys a multitude of shopping experiences with big box, specialty, and mom-and-pop retail located all over the city, and for a concentrated retail experience, Corona offers two dynamic retail and entertainment plazas: The Crossings at Corona and The Shops at Dos Lagos, both conveniently located just off the 1-15.
The Crossings at Corona offers exciting, high-end and family-style restaurants, entertainment and more than 65 stores for your shopping pleasure.
The Shops at Dos Lagos is located on the historical site of the Temescal Tin Mines and the Butterfield Stage Coach Route. The community continues to be attracted to this center for the elegant and attentive retail, dining and entertainment.
