The Library issues free Library cards to anyone residing in California.
What can you do with a Corona Public Library Card
- Borrow books, music, movies and more
- Place holds through the catalog for pick up through Click, Park & Pickup

Responsibility of Library Card Holders
Library cardholders are responsible for safeguarding their library cards and materials borrowed from the Corona Public Library.
- Presentation of a Library Card or Smart Pass is required to checkout all library materials.
- Responsibility and liability for items charged on a lost or stolen cards rests with the person to whom the card was issued and, if a minor, a parent of guardian who registered for the card, up until the time that the card is reported lost or stolen to the Library.
- Responsibility and liability for returning materials rests with the person who checked them out and, if a minor, a parent or guardian who registered for the card.

Login: Your Corona Public card number with all the zeroes and no spaces or your Smart Pass number. If you are a CNUSD Student your school ID number is now also your library card number, it is called the Smart Pass. To access your account with a Smart Pass, type in cnusd+lunch number.
PIN/password: The automatic password is the last 4 digits of your phone number for a full access library card. If using a Smart Pass the PIN will be your month and day of birth (mmdd). If this does not work please visit the Library for assistance or reset your password by following this link. To protect your account, passwords are not given over the phone or through email.

Library eCard
Library eCards are available free of charge to all Riverside County residents. The Library eCard will be valid for one year. eCard holders can use our Internet computers and borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and access our Online Resources. When self registering for an eCard, please take a moment to record the card number, password/PIN, and username for the account. Please visit the Library's website to view all of our Online Resources, Homework Help, and eMedia Collections. We encourage you to upgrade to a Full-Service Library Card. Full-Service Library Cards
You must be a California resident to obtain a Full-Service Library Card.
Adult Card
You must be at least 18 years old with a permanent and verifiable address to obtain a library card. If you are giving a PO Box as your address, please present a bill or correspondence with your street address. All forms of ID must be current. Accepted forms of identification include: current driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or college ID. If your photo ID does not include a current address, please present a piece of mail postmarked and mailed to you within the last 30 days, or a utility bill. PO Boxes do not establish California residency, please present correspondence or utility bill dated within the last 30 days. Present one piece of photo identification (ID). Please complete the online eCard application before stopping by the Library. If you have any questions, please call 951-736-2384 for assistance.
Juvenile Card
To obtain a library card for a minor child for whom you are the parent/legal guardian, the child must be present. Please complete an online eCard application and bring your photo ID and current address for verification. You have a choice of 3 access levels for your minor child’s library card:
- Full Access - Gives access to all materials in the library.
- Juvenile V-Card - Gives access to all materials EXCEPT DVDs in the adult Collection/all ratings.
- Juvenile R-Card - Gives access to all materials EXCEPT R- rated or DVDs
Student Smart Pass
The Smart Pass is the student ID number assigned to every Corona-Norco Unified School District student. In a partnership with the CNUSD, every student ID is also a Corona Public Library card. It gives access to all materials EXCEPT R-rated DVDs. With the Smart Pass, the check out limit is 5 items.
Login: cnusd + student ID number (a.k.a. your lunch number)
PIN/Password: mmdd - your month and day of birth
Example for a student born on January 1st:

Teacher Library Card
The Corona Public Library is pleased to offer Teacher Library Cards to support local educators in providing educational materials to their students.

- Borrow up to 25 items at a time
- Borrow most items up to nine weeks, excludes New Books and audiovisual materials
- Place up to 10 items on hold

Who Can Get A Teacher Library Card?
A “teacher” is any individual currently employed as a teacher, paraeducator, or library staff working in a public, private, charter, or preschool in the cities of Corona, Norco, and Eastvale. Proof of institutional identification or a pay stub from such facility is required to receive a Teacher Card.
Teacher Cards are for materials for curriculum support or classroom use. Teachers should use their regular cards to check out library materials for personal use. Additionally, Teacher Cards are for individual use only.
How to Get A Teacher Library Card:
- Apply in person at the Corona Public Library
- Show valid ID and proof of current California address
- Show proof of current teacher status in Corona, Norco, or Eastvale as follows:

Non-California Resident Library Card
Non-California Resident Library Card use only using the following criteria:
» Presentation of a valid Out-of-State Photo I.D.;
» Pay $10;
» Borrow 1 item at a time;
» Library card will expire in three months;
» Adult Card, must be 18 years old;
» Juvenile Card, legal guardian must be present.
As with all Cards, responsibility and liability rest with the registered card holder and if a minor, a parent or legal guardian who signed the library card application.
Notices Delivered by Email or Text
All notices are delivered through email or text. Please update your email or mobile phone number by logging into your account. This information is only used to update you about items due, overdue, or when you have a hold available. You can customize which notices you receive and how close to the due date a notice will be sent to you.
Item Renewals
Renewal of materials may be completed by logging into your account. Just enter your 14 digit Library Card number and your PIN number or your SmartPass number and PIN on the Catalog’s Home Page. If you have questions or are unable to renew your items online please call the Checkout Desk at 951-279-3737 or the Main Library number at 951-736-2381. Items may be renewed 2 times. If a hold has been placed on an item, a renewal will not be allowed.

Delinquent Accounts
Accounts with overdue fines or lost material fees that exceed $50 will receive a courtesy email notification of delinquent status. After the courtesy notice is sent, fourteen days is given to clear the account. If no action is taken after this time, delinquent accounts are submitted to a collection agency. A $24 collection agency fee is added to the account at this time.
Lost Your Card?
If you have lost or misplaced your library card please call 951-279-3737 immediately. Staff will then block your card which will prevent use by others if found. A replacement card costs $1.
Loan Limits & Daily Fines
Items are automatically renewed 2 times. If a hold has been placed on an item, a renewal will not be allowed.
Fines & Fees for Lost/Damaged Material
The Library charges fees for the replacement of lost / damaged material. In addition to the replacement cost for a lost or damaged item there is a $4.00 processing fee for each item lost.
